Destin 2009 (Part 2)

Here's a few more pics from our vacation...enjoy!

Trying out the ocean. She was so scared of the water! Mommy had to be touching her the whole time.

I love this picture but our camera fogged over when I took the lense off so it's foggy. :( She was so happy to be going outside to the sand.

Swimming in "Emma's pool!" as she calls it. This chick LOVES the water! So sweet!

Daddy's turn!

This was right before we left to come home. She likes to try and put her shoes on all by herself. Normally mommy has to help out though.

The night before we left was so beautiful so after dinner we went down to the Track and let Emma ride a couple things. Of course the yellow swings were her favorite so she rode those 3 or 4 times! She kept asking to ride them some more. I love her smile in all of these. I've got more cute ones on the swing but thought 4 would be enough to share!

So excited!

Thanks for looking!

Destin 2009 (Part 1)

We are finally home! We rolled into town about 3:15 yesterday afternoon and tonight I'm trying to unpack/unwind. We had a wonderful time in Destin even though it rained/stormed quite a bit. Emma was such an angel the entire trip and slept so well! Last year we went when she was 15 months old and she didn't sleep at all. This year she blessed us with great naps and we were all sound asleep between 8:30 & 9pm every night. Now that's what I call a vacation!

Emma LOVED the swimming pool and would call it "Emma's swimming pool!" She wasn't too thrilled with the ocean but enjoyed the sand. She would get so very excited when we talked about going outside and I think her favorite part of the trip was getting on the elevator and pushing the buttons! How funny is that? Here are lots of pictures and trust me, I have more! :)

Not long after arriving on the 1st day...this was the side where our door was.

Gotta love the Donut Hole! We ate their 3 times! Notice Emma's 3 boo boos?

Emma loved this patio chair.

Taking our 1st trip to the beach this year. The wind was so crazy those first couple of days!

Being cute & silly!

It's hard to see her expression in this picture but it is really cute with her hand in the air!

Feeling the sand between her toes...

Checking out the amazing ocean!

Sporting her 2nd bathing suit and notice the greasy sunscreen hair?! Love this bathing suit!

Mommy came out from the shower to find Emma reading her "Pat-A-Cake" book to Elmo & Zoe. It was so sweet!

Striking a pose before going out to dinner. Did I mention that we ate out alot??? I swear I gained 10 lbs while we were there!

My cutie patootie!

More pics to come maybe later tonight or tomorrow. I really wish we were still there but I guess we all have to work right? At least I only work 3 days this week. Oh and on Thursday my house is getting cleaned...how wonderful!

Filling Mommy's Shoes!

On Sunday I went to check on Emma in my bathroom and I caught her walking out of my closet with one black shoe on and one brown shoe. It was so cute and she just smiled! So I yelled at George to come look at her cuteness and she got shy and stepped out of them. She's just growing up too fast!

Look at all of the extra space in the back! Oh and I must note that Emma is now wearing size 7 extra extra narrow shoes! We took her to Stride Rite on Saturday and had her measured.

I've really been slacking recently on the pics/blog updates but since starting work my nights are just busy with Emma. We leave for vacation soon so I'll have tons of amazing pics of Emma on the beach! I can't wait.
Also, tonight is American Idol! I'm watching it in the background right now. I can't wait to see who wins!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today has been such a wonderful Mother's Day! Emma & George did a great job with my gifts and I couldn't be happier. I got to sleep in this morning and when I came out to the living room my gifts were waiting for me. I got some beautiful flowers & a plant that I can take to work. I also got some yummy chocolate from the Chocolate Crocodile which is my favorite! One of my favorite gifts is a collage of Emma's artwork from school. She is always coming home with different artwork so George made a picture using some of it. It is so cute! He had planned on making two of them but he accidentally broke the glass to the other one last night. Then I also got an Anthropologie gift card!!! I've always loved that store & always want stuff from there but it is so expensive. So I normally do imaginary shopping online but now I can really buy clothes from there. How exciting is that?! Thank you George & Emma for such a wonderful Mother's Day. We topped the morning off with Cracker Barrel and plan to grill out for dinner. Yay for fun family time!

Emma wanted her picture taken!

My beautiful plant/flowers.

Emma's artwork...is that not awesome how he put it all together? LOVE it!

And Emma being cute. Happy Mother's Day!

Our Week

We had a good week this week. Nothing too exciting! George had to work late a couple of nights so it was me and Emma. We also looked at a playground on Monday night that someone was selling. Well we called her that night & left a message saying we wanted it and what does she do? She sold it right out from under us on Tuesday. I was not very happy with this lady! Kind of rude to do that to someone but oh well. So no playground yet. Only a few more weeks until FLORIDA! Can you tell I'm excited? We went last May but Emma has grown so much that I'm super excited to relax and swim as much as possible. I ordered a bathing suit the other night & bought Emma some swim toys so it feels more real now. Another exciting thing is I'm hiring a cleaning lady to come in every other week & clean our house. Now that I've gone to work full time it's just so hard to get everything clean (bathrooms, dusting, mopping) and I don't want to spend all day Saturday doing it so this will be a huge help! She's a friend of a friend and seems so sweet and today she is coming over to visit. Yay! I think that's the only news I have. We are going to a graduation cookout this afternoon for our friend Ashli who is graduating nursing school. She's worked really hard for this so I'm excited to celebrate. Then tomorrow is Mother's Day! It will be my 3rd Mother's Day and I have no clue what George and Emma have planned. Well I know we are going to grill out here at home but George & Emma have bought me something so I'm eager to find out what it is.

Last week Emma received a couple of packages in the mail. One was from a mom & her son Ashton on my online momma's group. I've been a part of this group for over 3 years now so they are all like family to me. Ashton has been sick this year quite a bit so a couple of months ago Emma and I sent him a care package. Well Ashton ended up and sent Emma a thank you gift in return so she had fun opening it. Thank you so much JM & Ashton!!!

There were puzzles, CD's, and coloring/sticker books!! Braxton always has to investigate too!

And reading the letter that JM wrote. She keeps rereading this letter over and over.

Then the next day (Tuesday) Emma received a package from Betsy. Betsy makes the CUTEST stuff so I was really really excited to open it. It was a cute dress, Sweet Pea shirt, and 2 kork hairbows. As soon as Emma opened it she said "CUTE!" Thank you Betsy sooooo much! We love it all! Emma actually wore the sweet pea shirt to school for picture day on Wednesday.

Emma LOVES her new hairbows!

Then yesterday we were getting ready for school and Emma wanted to grab her purse. She threw it up on her shoulder and carried it to the car.

At her school was Muffins For Mom yesterday so we enjoyed some muffins & apple juice. Emma didn't want me to leave but I had to work. It was so fun interacting with the other kids. She really loves her school/teachers!

They made us a cute little flower and I love it! I wish Emma would've smiled in this pic!

Ok, more pics to come tomorrow! Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms and grandmothers out there!!!!

"Clean Up, Clean Up!"

Emma decided to skip naptime today and instead she destroyed her bedroom. So George told her to help him clean up and she wanted to sing her clean up song. I learned this song from Barney when my brothers were really young and have always remembered it. Now whenever we clean up, Emma has to help by singing the song. Soooo cute and times like this that I could just eat her and cuteness up!

New Pics!

Real quick, just a couple of new pics of Emma Bemma!

Last night we were playing peek-a-boo during bathtime. She's got her princess tiara on!

"CHEEEEEESE!!"

And from last week one night after work. We love playing outside in the evenings!

We are about to go to bed after we do our nebulizer. We had a 30th bday party tonight so we are up later than usual. We are such party animals!

Busy!

I know I haven't blogged in forever but we've just been so busy. When we get home at night it is rush rush to do dinner, playtime, nebulizer, bath, and then bedtime. Normally I fall asleep in the floor while putting Emma to bed and on the rare occasion I don't fall asleep, I go straight to bed immediately after. But this past week was wonderful with all of the sunshine & warm temps. Emma has been exhausted at night b/c they play outside all afternoon at school & then when we come home we go back outside.

Emma has been so wonderful all week. I can tell a huge difference in her when she is healthy. We've been off the antibiotic for 1.5 wks now (I think) and so far, she is still healthy. She finally has her bottom 2 molars completely in and her top right one is now breaking through. The top left gum is swollen so it's only a matter of time before it breaks through too. Then we will be all done with teeth!!! Thank goodness b/c those teeth drive mommy crazy. With every single tooth Emma ran a 99-100 temp and you know it just hurt. She's getting to be such a big girl!

Now for a couple of cute Emma sayings...

Lots of nights George and I put Emma to bed together. She LOVES for us to sing to her and we've been singing new songs recently. Well one night we were sitting there and Emma said "sing paddywack" so I start singing. Then she starts saying "NO, Mommy, NO!" Then she says "Daddy sing paddywack." My feelings were so hurt! :) Well then daddy starts singing and Emma says "Mommy sing wheels on bus." She wanted us to sing different songs at the same time. George and I would do it and it was so funny. Now every night she wants us to do it. Also, one of her other favorite songs is "John Jacob" or as she calls it "John Jake." That was one of my fav songs in elementary school so I enjoy singing it. She's also started singing alot and I love listening to her. We sing "If You're Happy and You Know It", "Wheels On The Bus", "London Bridge", "Old MacDonald", and lots more.

Yesterday Emma's daycare was closed down so George stayed home with her. They had been working outside and when they started to come in the back door it was locked. So George said "that sucks" and then Emma said "that sucks!" Sometimes you just forget that she repeats everything! George and I use clean words but I guess even sucks and oh crap aren't good for a 2 year old!

One last thing-I BOOKED our vacation to FLORIDA the other night! We are going back to Edgewater in Destin and even got a 20% b/c we are going on a holiday weekend. I'm pumped and I know Emma will have a great time. Only 3 more weeks!!!!

Pictures will come later today. Emma is having a rough morning so I must go make everything better. Check back later!
