How Sweet!

Gabby and Aunt Beth found this cute cute Halloween sweater at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago and today Emma wore it for the first time. She is so stinking adorable I just can't take it! :) We went to the health dept earlier for our H1N1 vaccines and everyone kept commenting on how cute she was and how much they just loved the sweater. So thank you Gabby & Aunt Beth!

Pumpkin Carving 2009

Tonight we decided to carve one of our pumpkins and then Emma got to paint her little pumpkin. Emma had so much fun! She helped her daddy get the "junk" out of the pumpkin and it was funny b/c she kept calling it "junk" after George did. Mommy got to sit on the sidelines and take pictures and videotape Emma's first pumpkin carving experience. :)

Happy to be helping daddy!

A Few Pics...

Thanks to Barney for keeping Emma occupied for a minute so I can post a few pics and I really need to clean the kitchen!

Emma LOVES to draw and is getting really good at some of her letters. So this morning we were writing and first she wrote "Mom" while I wasn't looking and then we finished the "m" and "y" below for mommy. I think she is so talented considering she's only 2.5! :)

Remember I said that George bought me 2 chocolate dipped Oreos? Well I had one and Emma had the other and she was cracking me up with her chocolately mouth. Gross, huh?

A few days ago I was cleaning our bathrooms and my sweet dear friend Tracy brought a huge pick me up to the house in honor of my cleaning. She went to Gigi's cupcakes and brought us 3 cupcakes! This was Emma's Princess cupcake and it was so yummy. I had to taste it first of course. :)

Just a few pics and more to come later!

My 31 Week Appointment

Yesterday I had my 31 wk appointment. After 2 hours 15 minutes Emma and I were finally out of there! I hate it when it takes that long but at least Emma was very well behaved.

Everything looked great. Blood pressure was good at 142/84 (I believe), no protein in urine, heartbeat was 143 and now I need to call and get registered at the hospital. I also asked him about when to schedule the actual c-section date even though it's at 38 weeks. After a few minutes we never actually set the date in stone. He doesn't seem so sure that I'll make it to 38 wks. It was rather funny talking about it so I guess we'll wait till it gets a little closer and then set the date in stone. Now I go back in 2 weeks on November 9th! The weeks are just flying by and I think about it nonstop. I'm so anxious and excited to meet baby Hudson!

Nothing much to report these past several days. Yesterday since it was almost 5pm when I left the dr, we met George at Rosie's for dinner. After sitting at the booth for a few minutes I noticed a Westin bag! :) You see where this is going right? I could get massages 24 hours a day and be happy. That's what I always ask for at Christmas/birthday and George is really good about treating me. Well over the weekend I commented to him that I haven't had a prenatal massage yet and so he went yesterday and got me a prenatal massage to the Westin! Very excited! I'm thinking I might schedule it for this weekend. :) Oh and he also had me a big chocolate dipped apple from the Chocolate Crocodile and 2 chocolate dipped Oreos b/c those are two things that I love from that store. What a great husband I have!

Well Emma is wanting me to play right now but maybe I'll post some new pics later today or tomorrow. Happy rainy cold Tuesday!

A Few Pics from Today

I took several pictures today documenting our day and here are just a couple...

Emma was mad at George for using "mommy's" camera so she showed off her pouty face really well!

Helping mommy make scrambled eggs this morning. We make eggs a lot!

This afternoon we headed out to Bridgestreet for a bit and this was right before we left. Such a stinker!

He's Still A Boy!

Yes, boys and girls, that is my sweet little Hudson all snuggled in my belly. :) Today we had our 4D ultrasound and even though he didn't cooperate at all, it was so incredibly wonderful to just see him and know that he's okay and growing like a weed! He's estimated to be 3 lbs 11 oz and is measuring 31 wks which is good. Everything looked just perfect but he kept wanting to keep his hand covering his entire face which left us with 1 good face shot. I was a little disappointed b/c I paid $150 for this u/s but I still got to see him for 1.5 hours so I'm a happy mommy. The ultrasound tech felt so bad b/c we couldn't get any good shots and she said when Dr. Cimino has me do another regular u/s to remind her and she would do her best to get some more 4D pics. So there's my little Hudson man and I'm loving his chubby little cheeks. I can't wait to pinch them when he comes out! :)

A few pics...

Yesterday Emma was having fun playing dress up and she wanted me to take a picture of her with her snow gear on! She was actually asking me to take her picture. :)

Funny face...look how skinny she is! I swear I feed her.

These days she is all about wearing her slippers around the house but I really need to buy her a new pair b/c those pink ones are too small. She was wearing them outside today too and I noticed they were coming apart. The girl loves her slippers!

And after her bath last night I told her that Gabby had bought her these pj's several months ago and luckily she wore them all night. I wasn't sure how she would do with a one piece but she did great. I thought it would keep her warm all night. She was very proud of her new pj's!

In other news I am in my 30th week!! It is flying by. Tomorrow I am going to get a 4D ultrasound done of my little man and I can't wait to see his cute little face. This was kind of a last minute thing but I'm so excited that I'm doing it. I will definitely share pics tomorrow evening.

Also, one of my dear friends from college is coming to Huntsville tomorrow to visit Emma and me and we plan on going to lunch after my appointment and then hanging out at the house for awhile. We don't get to see each other very often anymore so I'm excited that she's driving down for a visit!

I'll update tomorrow!

Pretty Princess Ballerina!

Aunt Beth gave Emma a beautiful pink tutu today and Emma has had so much fun wearing it around the house. Or should I say dancing around the house! We put her black leotard on with it (Aunt Beth got her earlier this year) and she loves it too. Enjoy!

Tates Farm 2009

Today Aunt Beth, Graham, and Isaac came down for a visit and we took the kiddos to Tates Farm! We took Emma last year and it was so much fun but it was really fun having all three kids there. As you can tell from the pictures it was super duper cold! I think it was in the low 40s and we felt it. The wind was crazy and we kept the kids bundled up the whole time but I sure did have a great time. :) Then we came home and made chili and George has been making pumpkin pies from scratch all night long. He got a pumpkin from the farm to use and I'll let you know how it turns out. Enjoy the pictures!

We arrived at the farm and mommy realized just how cold it was. It felt like the artic!

She's Getting Ready...

to be a big sister! Emma has a couple of big sister shirts and so we had to put one on yesterday before we went outside. She looked like such a big girl with it on. Not too much longer until she gets to wear it to the hospital-only 8 more weeks or less!

My 29 Wk Appointment & Pictures!

Yesterday I had my 29 week appointment with Dr. Cimino. After a long 2 hour wait I was finally seen! :) My blood pressure was high when I got there but once again, no protein so that's great. We talked about it being high and for now we will continue to monitor it and if I show other symptoms or if it gets higher than a certain number then I will call immediately. I've still been swelling a little bit but not too bad. Gained about 4 lbs in the past 2 weeks. I just love to eat! Other than that, nothing exciting.

Now for the pictures. Yesterday Emma found her playdough so we had to play with it. She was so excited & had so much fun! Then Aunt Marsha and the girls got here and kept her while I went to my dr appt. She had so much fun playing with the girls! Not sure what we have planned for today b/c I think it's supposed to rain all day but we'll see.

We used a heart shaped cookie cutter with our playdough!

We went to Old Navy on Sunday and got a few things. Daddy had to get Emma a Spider Man shirt! She was having too much fun posing for me.

Emma's Drawing

So I know this may not be anything special but to this mommy it is. Emma has always had a knack for anything artsy-painting, drawing, coloring, etc. I've always been amazed at how much control she has at such a young age. But as I said, it could just be my mommy goggles. :)

Anyways, back on September 22nd, Emma and I went to lunch with my old NG coworkers. I took lots of papers and markers so she would stay busy and not create a scene at the restaurant. As I was talking I looked over and she hands me this sheet of paper where she drew her famous smiley face. I was shocked! She has always loved drawing smiley faces but I was just so shocked to see this picture. I was a very proud mommy! She's only 2.5 and I just never imagined a 2 year old being able to draw so well. She must get it from her mommy. :)

Here it is...please ignore the crease in it. It got folded up.

Hudson's Baby Shower

So on Saturday my friends, Ashli and Carmen, threw me an amazing baby shower for Mr. Hudson. The food was so wonderful and it is always fun to get together with the girls and hang out. Hudson got TONS of great items including about 10 packs of diapers, wipes, bath supplies, lots of cute clothes, 2 blankets, receiving blankets, gift cards to Target, and several other items. We are so blessed! Thanks to all of the girls that could make it and for the wonderful gifts. I can't wait to use all of them and see Hudson dressed in all of those cute soft clothes. :)

My friend Jessica had these 2 adorable shirts made....love them!

All of our loot! This picture doesn't do justice. We got so much stuff!

Most of the girls! I think Stacy & Lindsey are the two missing.

Me & the cake! Let me tell you it was the BEST cake ever! Peggy Anne's made it and it was so yummy and I LOVED the little booties. I'm going to freeze them for whatever reason.

Close up of the cake!

Yay for baby showers and great friends!

Playtime!

Today we went to Bridgestreet and had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful weather! Then we came home and played outside while daddy mowed the yard. It has been so gorgeous!

Silly face

Loving the blue eyes as usual!

And this is Emma eating some cake from Hudson's shower. She loves the icing!

Baby shower pics to come later. I need to feed Emma and get her ready for bed so it might be tomorrow before I put them up.

Hudson's First Visit to L&D!

We had a little excitement in our house last night but luckily everything seems to be okay.

I had been laying on the couch watching tv last night and decided I would check my blood pressure since I hadn't checked it in a couple of days. The doctor has me check at home just to be safe. Anyways, checked it once and it was 146/93 so I got a little concerned due to the bottom number. Then I waited about 10 minutes or so and checked it again and it was 168/91 so I immediately called the doctor. It was my dr's partner on call so he said go straight to labor & delivery and let them check me out. That's when the panic starts to kick in. :( Brings back way too many memories of Emma's pregnancy b/c Dr. Conrad was the dr on call that horrible Sunday night that my blood pressure was about the same. So we all loaded up around 9pm and headed downtown. They got me back very quickly and hooked me up. Luckily it was down to around 138/91 and continued to go down really low over the next hour or so. It was actually super duper low for me so that's weird but at least it didn't get any higher. They also checked my urine and it was negative for protein. We got to hear Hudson's heartbeat for awhile and that was reassuring. Of course he was kicking me like crazy last night (probably from the 3 pieces of cake I had eaten!) so I knew he was okay. I also got to have my cervix checked for the 1st time ever and let me tell you, that was NOT fun! It hurt like crazy and I'm just glad I have a nice cervix. :) Don't want them doing that again.

Anyways, sometime around 11:30 they let me go home and I have my next OB appt on Tuesday. I have no idea why my blood pressure shot up like that and then went down so low but I'm happy it did. Our sweet nurse was so kind and efficient and I have to say I've always had such a great experience at Huntsville Hospital.

So for now I'll just wait until Tuesday and talk to Dr. Cimino about all of this. Baby Hudson is NOT being evicted yet. Don't even try it little man! :)

Also, my amazing girlfriends in Huntsville threw me a terrific shower yesterday for Hudson and he got TONS of stuff. I've got lots of pics and I'll show some later today. Let me just say we now have around 20 packages of diapers and so many cute clothes I'm getting really excited. :)

Please Vote for Emma! Valley Baby of the Year!

Remember earlier this year when Emma won the Valley Baby of the Month for January? Well now it's time to vote for the Valley Baby of the Year! All 12 winners are in the running and we would be thrilled if Emma won the grand prize. They have some amazing prizes with one of them being a free photography session with Heather Bookout (whom I LOVE) and $500 towards the purchase of pictures! How awesome is that??

The voting started today and ends next Friday, October 16th. To vote just click on the following link and it will take you to the finalist. Emma's picture is the very 1st one. This time around in order to bypass cheating and to help a great cause, they are requiring $1/vote and all of the proceeds go to the March of Dimes. So if you donate $25 it would be 25 votes. They also mentioned taking checks but I have to find out who to make it out to but if you are interested I can find out.

We really appreciate all of your votes and I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for your votes!

Our Week So Far...

We have been busy girls this week so far! Gabby and her sweet friend Marilyn came down on Monday and are going home tomorrow morning. We've had so much fun visiting them and eating lots of yummy food! So far since Monday night we've gone to Rosie's, Tommy's Pizza, Bruster's Ice Cream, Outback, and Starbucks. Can you tell we love to eat?? :)

Emma's had a blast having people in the house and I'm sure she will be so sad when they leave in the morning. However, next week Aunt Marsha, Monya, and Melica are coming next week and Aunt Beth and the boys are coming down. We love some company!

Recently Emma has been all about dressing up in her princess dresses. A few minutes ago she put this purple dress on over her pj's with Gabby and I just had to take a picture! What a beautiful little princess!

Last night Gabby, Marilyn, and I went to Target after Rosie's and George brought Emma home. I came home and George had taken this pic of Emma with her babies. She carries them around all the time and it's just so sweet. I don't know how she is holding all of them!

Saturday one of our dear friends, Carmen, gave Emma a present and we brought it home and opened it on Sunday morning. She got Emma a cute cute outfit that is a skirt and 2 tops. Emma kept saying "beautiful" and wanted to try it on. I love the outfit to death! Thanks Carmen and Paul!!!

These pics are backwards but here is Emma opening the gift. Oh and it came in the cutest most adorable little lion bag. Carmen is so very thoughtful!

I can't believe tomorrow is Wednesday already! Our weeks are just flying by and I can't believe that Hudson will be here in less than 10 wks! Wowsers!
